APA and MLA Similarities and Differences

Differences:
1.) The MLA style paper half inch margins at the top of the paper and the APA paper has one inch margins all around.
2.)The MLA style paper when changing topics in the paper flows rather than in the APA style paper when the topic changes there is a header addressing it.
3.) The Header on the APA paper gets its own page.
4.) The top right corner on MLA has your last name and page number and on APA just has the page number.
5.) On APA papers you put the title of the paper in the top left corner of every page.

Similarities:
1.) Each of the styles paragraphs are laid out the same way.
2.) Both are double spaced all throughout.
3.) Heading on works cited page are both centered.
4.) All sources on work cited page are in alphabetical order with anyone starting with a number last on the page.
5.) Each cited piece of work are indented after the first line.
